“I had a great life with my beautiful family but things went crazy”
The last 18 months I have been through severe alcoholic and depression abuse. It took me from having a home, a job, an amazing family and friends, to ending up in the pit. Then I found the Walter Hoving Home. I have been there a little under two months and my whole outlook on myself and my life has changed The transition has been, I can’t put it into words, because it is pretty new to feel like this.
I have had a great life, but it didn’t start out too good. It started out with domestic violence and sexual abuse as a child and I made it out of that. I had a great life with my beautiful family but things went crazy two months ago. I cannot wait to start my life over again and to help other people.
No one in my family told me that I didn’t have to take that kind of abuse but as I got older, at 14, I was able to stop my father from abusing my mother.
