“It’s helped me to not care about what other people’s opinions are”

I’m pansexual so I kind a like everyone. And it’s weird because a lot people either don’t know what it is or they try to lump me into something else like “oh, you’re bi, oh you’re this, you’re that” and it makes it kind of hard. It’s hard to explain. A lot of people don’t get it and they don’t want to get it. So it gets hard to be really insistent about it and to make people listen to me.

I’ve had people before, who’ve asked me out and I told them that I’m this. And they say, “but you still like guys?” Why are you rejecting me for who I am. But because of that it’s made me be able to be stronger about all the other stuff and be more insistent, like this is who I am, you’re going to respect it. It’s also made it easier for me, to be able to wear costumes and to wear them to places and not care what other people think, as long as I know that I like myself. It’s helped me to not care about what other people’s opinions are as long as I know that I like myself.

I love stuff animals. I have one that my dad gave to me after I had surgery when I was 10 years old, I think. That one I still have. It’s really important to me. It was like a hospital gift. It cheers me up when I’m really sad. I think I named it Victory, actually. It was a little cat that I got. I love cats it is my favorite animal.
